Festa da Flor 2010 - Madeira

Após os terríveis acontecimentos de 20 de Fevereiro, a Madeira renasceu com uma força sem mesura.

A festa de este ano foi mais simbólica que nunca, e o povo aderiu como se disso dependesse o seu futuro (algo que é, em parte, verdadeiro).

Deixo aqui alguns apontamentos, algumas caras, umas conhecidas e outras não. A reportagem política do acontecimento também está presente, deixo apenas por escrever o comentário à nova relação entre dois dirigentes, de forma a garantir que alguma (aparente) imparcialidade persista...

Flower Festival 2010 - Madeira

After the terrible events of February 20th, Madeira has reborn with a force beyond measure.

This year's festival was more symbolic than ever, and the island's people got involved as if their future depended on it (something that, in some ways, it's true).

I'll leave you here with a few faces, some public, some unknown. The political side of the event is also here, only without the comentary on the newfound relationship between two leaders, so that the (illusion of) impartiality remains...
